Eighty years of Monroe's pianos and Hammond organs, photographed exactly where they stand on this showroom floor, including the ones we rebuilt into furniture once their playing life was over. Nothing on this page is a stock photo. New pianos sit a few feet from a seventy year old Hammond, a repair bench sits in the back, and a handful of retired instruments now live on as bookshelves and clocks. New & pre-owned
Monroe's largest selection of new and used pianos, from an introductory upright for a first-time player to a polished ebony grand for someone further along. New Yamaha stock sits on the same floor as pre-owned uprights, consoles and baby grands, and everything on the floor gets played before it leaves.

Consoles and tone cabinets
We have kept Hammond consoles and tone cabinets on this floor since the organ was the loudest thing in a Louisiana living room. CV models, RT-3s with pedalboards, A100s in cherry. The drawbars still work and the room still smells like warm tubes.

For a smaller room, an apartment, or a first instrument that never needs tuning, we carry Yamaha Clavinova digital pianos and portable keyboards alongside the acoustic stock. Weighted keys and real piano voicing, none of the floor space a console needs.

Piano needs, parts and new equipment have been the family business since 1946, and that includes the unglamorous part: a real bench in the back, a Hammond chassis opened up on the table, and someone who can tell you what is actually wrong before you spend a cent.

One of a kind
When an instrument reaches the end of its playing life, we do not scrap the cabinet. A grand piano case became a curved bookshelf. A Hammond tone cabinet became a bookcase. Each piece is one of a kind and shows up on the floor when it is ready, not on a schedule.

Most people who walk through the door are not sure yet whether they want a new Yamaha or something pre-owned, whether a Hammond even fits the room, or whether the kids need lessons before they need an instrument. That is fine. Call and describe the room, the player, or the budget range you have in mind, and James or Frank will point you at what is actually on the floor for it. There is no pressure to buy anything the same day. Come in, sit down, and play whatever is out.
